LifeWay Women has a new Women’s Ministry Specialist named Kelly King. Kelly’s calling at Lifeway Christian Resources is to train women leaders, whether they are leaders in the church, the home, or the marketplace. She was previously the Women’s Missions and Ministries Specialist for the Baptist General Convention, a post she held for more than 11 years.

Kelly describes Carol in this way, “Not only is Carol witty and captivating, she just down-right knows how to communicate God's Word in a fresh and insightful way. Whether she is teaching an equipping seminar or speaking as a keynote speaker, her audience always leaves with a deeper love for Christ and a desire to reach others.”

I was at the Enid event today (first timer), and I just wanted to say you ROCK! You share such an important message in such a fun and funny way. I am so blessed to be a part of a community of women who can make things like this happen! I could see the wheels turning in so many beautiful heads today. I have two teenage daughters and one of them has a string of friends who all have a very sad and scary story. I just kept thinking, we need more of this all the time here in Enid. Girls need to know they are valuable, worthwhile, and in control of their bodies and their destinies! I am so glad you can do this even if just once a year. No one forgets these moments. The young, and older, women attending the retreat are so fortunate for this opportunity. And the Lord God certainly knows what he is doing putting you at the front of the public classroom (so encouraging to hear that's where he is sending you). There is hope!

Phil and Carol have always been a great help and a wealth of information. When I have a question or a concern they are always quick to help where they can and always held us in prayer when needed. Phil not only helped lead me back to Christ, baptized my family and myself, but provided our premarital counseling and married us as well. When we had problems down the road he was quick to reach out to us and help walk us through the issues in a Godly manner. I sat through many a women’s class led by Carol and was always inspired by her obvious passion for Christ. Even though Phil no longer pastors at the church and we are no longer members there , we have continued to stay in touch and I will always consider him my pastor.

A few years back I was attending a Bible study led by Carol Sallee. During the study, she shared a portion of her testimony relating to a particularly difficult time in her college years. Her bravery and courage created an environment of emotional safety that empowered and encouraged me to open up and share about my own struggles.

As a result of her influence and fervent support, I embarked on a journey that ultimately changed the trajectory of my entire life. Carol’s astounding biblical knowledge coupled with her teaching ability and divine compassion for others is truly extraordinary and it is a pleasure and blessing having her as a friend and confidant.

Phil and Carol Sallee are by far one of the best “Godly Teams” I have ever had the honor of knowing. They selflessly give of themselves for the betterment of the Kingdom of Christ. Their compassionate, knowledgeable wisdom and counseling has served many individuals and couples through tragic and hard times.

They both strive to build their knowledge of God and His love on a daily basis and pass that along to others. They are both loved and respected by all who have had the honor of knowing them and working alongside them.

As a growing leader, and a shepherd, there is no greater advice than the advice given below from my dear friend Pastor Phil Sallee. 

I am so thankful for his leadership, his friendship, and his godly example in my life over the years. 

I am truly indebted to a man who took a chance on me. Pastor Phil gave me a shot to love and be loved by many special kids and their families within the local church there in Bixby. 

He saw something in me and gave me the latitude to lead with creativity and passion, all the while encouraging me to stay anchored to the Word. 

It changed my life and the lives of my family. We love you Pastor Phil and Carol Sallee. You’ve made a difference, and I’m certain you will continue to do so.
